Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our kindergarten classroom is a collaborative classroom, which includes students with special needs and general education students. The wonderful part about our classroom is that all our students learn in many different ways. Our school is nestled in a community with a majority of at risk students. However our students show passion for learning and strive for success. They come to school ready and eager to learn everyday. My goal as their teacher is for them to arrive to school happy and ready to learn. My vision for them is to watch them grow into successful citizens. Our campus is part of a blended learning initiative that supports differentiated instruction for all our students.

My Project

These materials will aid our students in our kindergarten collaborative classroom in helping them become more organized and independent.

Our classroom is a blended learning environment which allows our students to learn at their own pace and with their own personal learning style.

Students use school iPads on a daily basis. The covers will allow for durability and flexible access for their little hands. The folders being requested will allow our students to take home any important information and allow them to become organized with their learning. The specialized scissors will help our students in learning how to properly use scissors with agile support. These materials will be a vital part of our students daily routine and will be huge support in our classroom.

Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and most come from a low income household.

Our students look forward to coming to school every day and feel safe in our classroom environment. These materials will allow them to continue moving forward both academically and socially. Most of our students depend on the supplies that are given to them here at our school.
