This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to build an outdoor learning space for my students that helps give extra language opportunities and a place where students can sit and enjoy a good book. Our current playground doesn't offer much, so I would like to have a place for reading and relaxing, dramatic play, and physical activities. This table and chair set will be used for the dramatic play area. I would eventually like to add a other items as well as play food to engage the kids in various language opportunities. The student's at school don't have much, but something like this will brighten their day and make coming to school, even more exciting as they have time to play and interact with peers.
