Kinder Crafty Kids

My students need manipulatives and materials to keep them engaged in learning.

My Students

My students come from very low income families. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch, which are the only meals that some of my students get during the day. The kindergartners are full of energy and excited about learning.

Some of my students stay after school to get help with their homework and review skills due to their parents working long hours or no one is at home to support their learning.

With extra support and materials to help enhance their learning I believe that my students will be very successful in the future.

My Project

The primary materials that I am requesting for my students will help enhance their learning through hands on activities. With the jumbo magnetic ten frame and snap and slide number bond manipulatives, my students will have a better understand of the kindergarten math skills.

Reading skills are very important in the lower grades.

Using the rhyming and sight word materials will help the students that are lower achiever to embrace the skill and take ownership of their learning. Many students will stay engaged with these activities as they work independently in learning stations. Students will build on the basic skills and have a solid foundation.
