Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Kinder students are visual learners that's why many of the lessons require taking pictures as a visual aid. Our classroom has a camera and a photo maker, but they are pretty much useless because we don't have photo paper or ink.
My classroom is composed of 21 wonderful five and six year olds that love exploring and discovering new things.
They love hands-on activities specially Science lessons. Our school is located in a very poor part of town and most of the students are recent immigrants. As their teacher, I want to do the most I can for them and that includes capturing all of the great activities we do in class as well as provide them with many learning opportunities. The ink cartridges and photo paper that I am requesting will not only help in recording our most wonderful times in school, but will be an essential tool in the creation on student published books.
My Project
We recently got an awesome digital camera funded through Donors Choose by amazing donors like you. We also received a great Photo Maker donated by an independent donor. Now that we have these wonderful tools in our class, we need photo paper and ink to be able to carry out many great activities that are not possible without these necessities. My plans are to have my students create their own books. They can publish all sorts of books such as letter, number, or weather books. I will also be able to print out pictures of them that record their amazing times in Kindergarten.
As you can see, the items that I am requesting will serve a very important purpose since the possibilities are endless. The learning opportunities that these books will provide are very important in Early Childhood.
My student and I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and for the generosity in making this project a reality.
The ink and photo paper will help us in so many ways in our classroom. My students will be so happy to be able to create their own books and I will be so grateful to be able to print their pictures in my own classroom with your help. This project will supply enough paper and ink to this year and the next. Thank you once again for your help.
