This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a class of wonderful, curious, talented, and energetic kindergarteners. They want to read. They are eager to read. Unfortunately, I don't have a classroom library with enough books about people who represent their respective cultures and ethnicities.

My goal is to revamp our classroom library to make it more culturally responsive.

My students are passionate and curious about the world, therefore giving them these books will be a way to encourage such curiosity, as well as introduce them to how books work. This teacher would greatly appreciate it.
