This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every year, we offer an after school writing intervention for students to reclassify their English Learner status from “English Learner” to “English Proficient.” It’s a big ask for some students to stay after school so incentives like snacks are key! Students are preparing to pass the last portion of the English learner reclassification process. They must write a proficient fourparagraph essay on demand in 55 minutes!

Kiddos need a healthy snack to endure essay writing after school!

Kind bars and Nutella snacks offer protein coupled with the sweet goodness of chocolate to keep the mind-a-buzzing’ post 3 p.m.!
