Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Next year I will be taking the big leap and moving to kindergarten! I have the opportunity to teach kindergarten and then move with that same group to be their first-grade teacher! I feel so incredibly thankful to create bonds with students and their families that can span over the years. The students at my school are so kind and eager to learn. I know that my students will be excited for the years to come! I am so excited about this change and large adventure. However, I do not have all the resources needed to do this successfully.

The Alphabet Soup Sorters, Play-Doh, and other materials in this project will give me the things needed to begin our kindergarten year and carry over to our first-grade year.

Since I have not taught kindergarten before these books will be useful in helping me establish a classroom family, all the while crafting a love for reading and learning! These books will also establish social and emotional learning guides for students who may have not ever been to school before. Thank you so much for helping give these precious students the things they need to be successful in kindergarten and later first grade!
