This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students at our small, rural school have experienced struggles in their efforts to read and write. But they have never given up, and have come a long way this year. One of my goals is to make writing a joy rather and a burden.

Making bright, beautiful greeting cards for members of our community brings joy to the hearts of my students.

Whether people are celebrating or going through a difficult time, a greeting card cannot help but lift the heart. My students enjoy writing and creating such cards. They *want* to write. It is no longer an onerous task.

The items requested will give my students the opportunity to write with joyous hearts, and they will scarcely realize that they are learning. Thank you in advance for your kindness.
