Kin-Ball For All!!

My students need a Kin-Ball and bladder to increase class childhood obesity.

My Students

Do you remember getting a new toy and never putting it down? You thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread! My new school has need to discover new and exciting ways to display cooperative play.

The students at my new school live a poverty ridden community.

They work hard academically and have performed exceedingly well on standardized test over last year. Outside of school, it is a world of violence and gang banging. 99% of the students receive breakfast and lunch at the school.

My Project

The introduction of Kin-Ball will help these students learn how to work together as a team and cooperate with one another. There are some that are involved in football, volleyball and basketball, but not all are confident in their ability. Kin-Ball play is simple and does not require so much athletic ability as it does desire to participate and cooperate. Personally, a Kin-Ball will increase class participation, physical fitness, and aid in fighting childhood obesity.

By giving my students options and opportunities to learn while they play is crucial to their self-worth and self-confidence.

I believe my students may want to eventually compete in Kin-Ball competition as this game spreads around the Chicago area. I pray that this simple game will develop character and leadership which a student can take with them in life.
