My Project

We need your help to give our kiln room a needed makeover! No, I do not mean a makeover with pretty paint or fancy posters, but instead by providing our students with updated kiln shelves. Kilns are like ovens that heat up to a few thousand degrees - these pieces of equipment are needed to make clay projects food safe and sturdy. In order to fire our clay pieces inside of the kilns, they require something called "kiln shelves."

Kiln shelves are literal shelves used to stack clay pieces on inside the kiln while it is heating up - they are necessary for a ceramic studio.

Over time, these shelves will crack, bend, and become destroyed due to regular ware and tare. Our current shelves are cracked, bent, and destroyed. By providing my 3D classes with new kiln shelves, you are ensuring that each student can continue to make awesome ceramic art pieces for years to come.
