My Students

My art students are curious and creative people. They get so excited and creative when we work with art materials!

Creating art with clay, paint, and mixed medias gives students learning experiences that they will remember fondly throughout their adulthood.

Its great when its a hands on experience. Think right now about a wonderful experience doing something hands on in school. Isn't it a wonderful memory? My students are ages eleven to thirteen. This year, 6th and 7th grade students will experience art every day for 45 days. This is such a crucial time in their artistic development! They decide whether or not art is important in their lives. This is a mostly working class community. If we don't hook them on art now, they may never feel a love for art and harness its problem solving power. Let's show them that it is important! They will feel great pride in their artistic creations that will help to give them confidence in trying new things and being creative in every area of their lives.

My Project

My 6th and 7th grade students will love being able to make bigger clay sculptures! In art class, using clay is the most special project. If you think back to your own experiences in art class, you probably still have your sculptures. How memorable to be able to help provide this rare growing experience for my students.

By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve and increase student innovation and creativity, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement through a hands on art experience.

Students will be able to create bigger sculptures and we won't have to worry about not having enough space or time to fire them in the kiln.
