I am an art teacher opening a brand new art class at this school. This district has been around for a while and has never had an art program. I will be teaching all grades 4th - 8th and starting a new program takes lots of materials! I teach in a rural and high needs community. My school has great young artists bursting with talent!
By implementing an art program, we help to introduce students to materials and experiences they have never seen before. The students come in and can't wait to see what we are going to do next!
Showing children print making on shirts and on paper is another way in which to teach them a form of art. Besides, we may just have future print makers!
These supplies will help start our new art program out with materials that they have never seen before. Just think, with your help you will not only help to impact and introduce art to these children who never had it before, but you will be enriching a whole community!
