My Students
My students are an eager and happy bunch. They love being in a school and want to learn. They have a drive for knowledge that inspires me to be a better teacher. They work hard and are starting to understand the learning process.
These kids can comprehend and understand almost everything that goes on around them.
I want to teach them how to express themselves and unlock their potential as a learner. As a teacher I get to learn about all different kinds of students and these students have a hunger that I have not seen before and I want to fill their thirst for knowledge in anyway I can.
My Project
My students need to be actively engaged almost all the time. We need Boogie Boards (LCD writing tablets) to draw on, puzzle and blocks to play with and some kids need wobble chairs to engage their bodies to learn. Each child need clocks in their hands to learn about time. My project is all about moving and engaging the kid through movement. Kids will learn through doing so much better then from just being told. The boogie boards will be used on a daily basis to work math problems, write stories, and practice spelling words. The puzzle, blocks and gears, will give my students educational play time. Kids don't have enough imaginative play time and I want to give it to them in school. Every year a few of my students need move while learning and the wobble chairs will help them to use their core while working. While learning about time my students will have a clock they can manipulate to understand how a clock works. They will get hands-on learning.
