This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Kids need to paint! I could go on and on about the developmental benefits of painting and art and expression. But what you need to know is whenever we do a painting project, the room gets quiet. The kids are in it.

That's how I can tell it is not only developmentally appropriate but necessary.

Help us paint!

I am able to purchase most of the paint with my yearly budget, but all the extras that make painting a successful experience for everyone cost money! Smocks so I don't ruin their clothes (is it even truly washable?), cups to contain paint, endless construction paper, and even brushes that somehow disappear year after year... Paint sticks create amazing vibrant colors without the clean up and let us access painting much more frequently throughout the year.

We use paint in art projects, science, and project based learning, the list is endless! Help us create!
