Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My third graders go to a Title 1 school which means they qualify for a free or reduced lunch. They are eager to learn and try their best each day. They love being at school which they tell me helps them to stay focused vs. learning remotely at home on Zoom.
My Project
Students have been stressed at home for a good part of the pandemic. They are learning how to socialize again with their classmates. These resources will help them to interact with each other in a fun and stimulating way.
Not only do they get to exercise by playing badminton together, they will also work on hand eye coordination.
The Play Doh gives them a creative outlet and allows the students to squeeze and mold the clay which helps to ease tension, release excess energy, improve their focus, and express sometimes difficult emotions.
