My students need tools to make the projects they dream up a reality. They need a hammer, 2 saws, a drill and drill bits, hardware, tape and gloves to protect their hands.
From fixing a book shelf to building a fort, all kids should have the skills and tools to be able to build the projects that they imagine. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of "Do It Yourselfers".
We are a small, rural K-8 school in Vermont.
Our students come from a range of social economic backgrounds. More than half of our students receive free and reduced lunch. Our students are curious and eager for more opportunities to create. They love to get their hands dirty and make projects of which they are proud.
My Project
Hammers, nails, saws, screwdrivers, and other tools are the nuts and bolts needed to equip young builders. We need basic tools and supplies that will enable our students to build various projects that showcase their learning in creative ways. Help us make their ideas reality.
Our students can't always afford to buy a new things.
We want to teach them to build their own or fix what's broken. We want to help build a future where everyone can fix a flat tire beside the road and people aren't afraid to try to fix things. This will help create a more sustainable future for us all.
