Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are from an inner city school. The author Ezra Jack Keats is from an inner city school as well and became a well known author. His works will be an inspiration for my students as well as give them an opportunity to look at his style of story telling. The phonemic books will help the students with reading and writing their own stories. There are many bright students in this pre-k class, however all will benefit from this addition to our class.

At the present time we have only 3 well worn read along stories for our Listening Center. New books would be a blessing.

The addition of this new material will allow children to become independent readers and listeners. It will help develop their reading and writing skills as well as develop vocabulary and oral skills.

You can help make it possible to encourage future authors and creative students. Help them to realize there potential. This class deserve any help you may provide. They are a joy.
