This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing 3 and 4 year old head start students who are eager to learn. Many come from our neighboring university community. They are enthusiastic energetic kids who love to move as well as listen to books. We are in a Title One School so many students have limited experiences and which we help enchance with hands on activities in both English and Spanish. We need resources in and out of the classroom. We appreciate any of your help!

My Project

My students will not only have classroom experience learning about agriculture but they will have real life experiences at the museum learning about animals and agriculture in our community. The manipulatives will be a great asset to our classroom as well as the books that the students can look at and be read to. We will write thank you letters to the museum as well as to any donors. I think that class trips help students develop their vocabulary because they have a connection directly to the topic. These are experiences many families are not able to afford to take their children.
