My Students

"Come and join me at the table!" Being able to see what they are doing while they are working will allow me to provide more support during our guided, small group, intervention time together.

We are in an urban, public school where 40% of students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

We are a school of almost 600 students, ECE-5th grade. My 1st, 2nd and 4th grade students are hard working, dedicated, and diligent to the tasks set before them. I know they will rise to the challenge of using these resources to help them grow as readers and writers, preparing them for the schooling and future ahead of them.

My Project

As an interventionist, I desire a kidney for my students and teaching space to make things. As I teach guided math and guided reading throughout the day, I would love to have a common table to convene at with my students. This table will allow us to meet and for me to monitor my students' work during our time together in a more supportive way.

Allowing them hard surfaces to write on as opposed to trying to juggle the clip boards we have, will help them to focus on the tasks, not the balance act of supplies and materials.
