Kidney Table for 1st Graders!

My students need a markerboard top kidney table for small group instruction.

My Students

My students come from a wide variety of diverse cultural backgrounds. My students also speak a multitude of languages. My students also come from different economic backgrounds; over 90% of them receive free lunch. Although my students come from so many backgrounds, they all come to school eager to learn each and every day. They work so hard trying to read and write. They also love to learn math, social studies, and science! They are a wonderful, hard-working group of students.

My Project

Receiving a kidney table will allow me to work with small groups so that I can meet the needs of all my students. This table will allow me to work with several students at a time. I can use the table for reading, writing, and math groups. I can have several students in a math group and work with manipulatives to help them have a better understanding of math concepts.

By using the kidney table, I can work with several students while the rest of the class is working independently.

I can work with guided reading groups and use a variety of strategies with different groups.

This table will allow me to focus on working with a small group rather than the whole class. By working with a small group, I can better meet the needs of all my students.
