Kid-Inspired Dance to Get Active

My students need headphones, scarves, rhythm instruments, and music CDs for them to get active and dance.

My Students

My students with Autism are amazing. They are awesome, hard working, caring individuals. They came up with the idea to have dance time for physical activity. I was kid-inspired to get CD’s and headphones for my students to play and dance during physical activity. Once I teach my students with Autism how to move and dance they want to teach their typical peers how to dance.

This project will help my students get active for at least 60 minutes a day.

My Project

This project will help my students get active for at least 60 minutes a day. They will be able to dance to kid approved music and learn new ways they can move while having fun teaching their peers.

My students with Autism like to move and they picked out the music they want to dance to strengthen their core.

The headphones and CDs, as well as the juggling scarves and musical instruments, will be used with the whole class to teach and engage my students to be active learners for physical exercise. We plan on using the headphones indoors and dance to kid music.
