My Project

The students at Lake Hood Elementary School LOVE manga-style books! These books offer compelling visuals, concise dialogue and vibrant fast-paced storylines. The few books we have are checked out constantly with students clamoring to get whatever can be found. This collection desperately needs an infusion of new books.

Supporting reluctant readers and ELL students with manga-style books offers a captivating gateway to literacy.

I've chosen three different series that will entice our most reluctant readers while supporting emerging readers and our ELL students.
