This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My players are the heart of my coaching. They bring an incredible energy and resilience to the pitch every single day. They are curious, creative, and possess an unwavering spirit, even in the face of challenges. They are what make coaching such a rewarding experience.

This project is all about giving them the tools they need to truly excel on the soccer field.

Right now, they're using equipment that's seen better days – cheap soccer balls , and 6 total cones for our team. It's difficult for them to focus on developing their skills when they're using cheap equipment.

The specific items I'm requesting will make a world of difference:

New Soccer Balls: Having quality, regulation soccer balls will allow my students to practice proper technique, improve their passing and shooting accuracy, and experience the joy of playing with equipment that performs properly.

New Training Cones: A set of durable cones will allow us to create effective drills, work on agility and footwork, and simulate game-like scenarios. Currently, we're improvising with whatever we can find, which limits the effectiveness of our training.

Agility Training Posts: These aren't just simple poles; they're a gateway to unlocking my students' agility and coordination. Right now, we try to improvise with lines in the dirt, which isn't ideal for developing the precise movements needed for soccer.

Shooting Drill Goal Net: Currently, our shooting practice is limited. We often have to share a single, worn-out goal, or sometimes we don't have a proper target at all.

Ball Bag: Right now, our soccer balls are scattered everywhere after practice. We spend valuable time rounding them up, which cuts into our training time. A ball bag might seem like a small thing, but it will make a huge difference in the organization and efficiency of our practices.
