Approximately 75% of the students at our school receive free or reduced-price lunch. Many come from low-income areas, live in poverty, or combat homelessness, and we have a high number of military families. There is an amazing group of hard-working young adults in my class. They strive every day to do their best and succeed. Their goals and dreams are to achieve a high school diploma and go to college.
My students take any obstacle in their path head-on and don't let it slow them down.

My Project
Each year my students amaze me as they are always ready to learn and strive to do their best. This past school year has been a challenge to say the least, so I want to kick off the 2020 - 2021 school year with having all the supplies my students need in our classroom. My students use a variety of supplies and resources each day to complete assignment, take notes, and project. With so many different learning styles, i like to make sure that I have a variety of items to can benefit all my students. I am requesting notebooks, index cards, various colored pens, colored pencils and markers which will give all my students access to a variety of supplies that will make learning fun and enjoyable for them all. I am also requesting a class set of white boards with markers and erasers that will allow my students to work on problems in their groups and give me the ability to help them see the different ways they can solve problems without wasting tons of paper.
