Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students are standing in a line of 65 waiting to use equipment.

Students are in grades 6 through 8.

They attend a low income, low funded charter school. The students are very energetic and love to play sports and be active. Class sizes range from 48 to 65 students and we are very low on equipment. Students are not receiving the appropriate amount of time to use equipment.

My Project

If my projects become funded students will not have to wait in line to use equipment. My students will be able to use the soccer balls in a way that all will be participating and having fun in drills and game play. My goal is to have the students continue to be physically active throughout their entire life.

There is huge epidemic of obesity in our youth.

If I have the proper equipment I will be able to have my students perform and find a passion in sports. This passion will carry throughout their life.
