My Students
I am a fourth grade teacher at a very low SES school. We have an 85% free or reduced rate lunch population and many kids on a food program. My students love coming to school where they are safe and cared for. I have 44 children that I teach reading and social studies to.I'm looking to add some great books that are engaging and rigorous for the kids. I am also looking to refill some of the daily needs that we have that enables to the lessons to go smoothly for greater success! Any support is greatly appreciated to help out my class!
My Project
My students often come to school unprepared. They are missing the basic school supplies that they will need on a daily basis. These items such as folders, pencil pouches, and scissors make getting back into the swing and getting down to business much easier! These supplies are used on a daily basis during lessons and projects. Being able to see all the kids working and not waiting to borrow supplies from other kids is wonderful. It allows us to get more done as well! Kids have a sense of pride when they are prepared and don’t have to ask for everything.
