Kiaaaa! We're Ready for Self-Defense, Kickboxing and Martial Arts

Help me give my students an opportunity to be exposed to martial arts/kickboxing under the supervision of a certified instructor. This includes boxing gloves and other items.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will benefit students who cannot afford to pay for classes. I would like to introduce our students, especially our female students, to basic self-defense, kickboxing, and martial arts techniques.

Your donation will expose students to opportunities they cannot pay for and will allow them to receive instruction in a caring, respectful environment where the words “I can’t” do not exist.

This exposure will not only boost their self-esteem, but, will also boost their confidence, concentration, balance and coordination.

In addition to the physical skills, students will learn to improve communication skills and learn non-violent methods of conflict resolution. Students will use their training to develop and/or reinforce discipline, self-confidence and respect toward self and others. They will learn to apply these skills in the classroom and in other aspects of their lives.

Students will receive instruction from a female karate instructor with over 20 years experience. The instructor presently holds a 3rd degree black belt and trains under the supervision of a Boston Police Officer who has over 40 years experience teaching martial arts.
