This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What better way to help students develop life skills than to teach them to show kindness to the entire school community. Students will be taking direct action to spread kindness in the school community with this Community Service Project. I am requesting beads of all colors and letters, charms, cords of different colors and keychain hooks. This project will benefit the entire school community by visiting all students during lunch periods and aiding them to create inspirational and positive words on bracelets and keychains, then hand them out at lunch.
The students in my classroom will explore ways to spread kindness and positivity within the school community by brainstorming and making bracelets and keychains.
By spreading kindness in the school community. I am hoping this will be a good peer to peer experience for my students.
This community service campaign will promote a community of friends and neighbors based on a vision of positive possibilities, generosity, cooperation, and kindness. This community service endeavor will enlighten our entire school community on how Kindness is Contagious. A Kindness is any action based on compassion that relieves suffering or promotes wellbeing. Kindness is contagious; it spreads and expands action by action by action. The students will be kind to one another and will help build a more compassionate and connected community by handing out inspirational and positive terms on bracelets and keychains. My students have asked to help out our school community by providing their peers with more ways to promote kindness and have their peers understand the importance of being kind to one another. My students feel that as one student creates a friendship bracelet and passes it to another peer, kindness will spread around our school community.
