This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is an inner city school in Stamford,Connecticut with more than 700 students. My school has a diverse student population and implements a variety of experiences to reach out to our school community. Some of our more noteworthy events include Literacy Volunteers Program, Family Dinners, Family Fun and Learning Nights, Neighborhood Tree Lighting, and the Winter and Spring Concerts. My students come to school eager to learn new things about music everyday and are excited when I have new instruments that they can use/play.

My Project

Music is a creative subject that students as an outlet to express their feelings and emotions. Also, music tends to help students mood and focus throughout music class and beyond.

These keyboards will make a difference in students learning because they are instruments that students will able to touch and explore on their own.

I want students to have the ability to listen to the different notes and experiment with their own music. The keyboards will be a way for students to express their personal feelings and emotions.

I am a firm believer that music helps students in all aspects of their lives, especially when given the chance to explore on their own instruments!
