This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, my co-teacher and I would like to start preparing our students for taking the NYS exam online. Our students mostly come from low-income households and most of them have little to no access to technology in their homes. Most of them do not know how to type using a keyboard and we would like to help them acquire basic typing skills and get them accustomed to typing up their responses, a skill necessary for them to thrive in middle school and beyond.
We are planning to use these keyboards to help our students gain basic typing skills and help them be fully prepared to take the NY State test online.
