My Project
Keyboarding is one of those skills that we all use so often, we often forget that its vital to teach kids now at the youngest of ages. Making it exciting and giving adequate practice will be a skill they use for the rest of their lives. I want to be able to teach them skills and have them practice without looking.
These pop-it keyboards will allow students to locate letters in kindergarten, to typing words from memory in third, to being flawless at fifth grade.
Keyboarding is a skill that is no longer taught in middle school, and I feel it is my duty to get students proficient before they leave our campus.
When learning to keyboard, it's a slow process, but with time and daily practice, students pick it up like riding a bike. Once they have it down, they will never forget. Texting on phones isn't the same as learning a keyboard. Being proficient with all fingers needs time and proper teaching. These keyboards will help ALL our learners be successful!
