it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a big believer that having an organized teacher work area in my classroom is super important because in order to be a good teacher, I need to be able to access my teaching manuals and teacher professional books quickly when I am planning after school to allow me to have more time to prep and prepare for tomorrow's lessons. This is why I am requesting a wire rack and a rolling storage cart to hold my 3rd grade teacher math, science, history, reading, writing and ELD manuals and professional development books.
The requested wire rack and rolling storage cart will hold my teacher manuals and professional development books next to my teacher desk so I can access them quickly while I planning with other colleagues and by myself before and after school.
While I am planning and prepping, I can retrieve the proper teacher manual and professional books in a flash as well as keep them organized by subject matter. Being able to see where they are and take the correct book out, I will have more time to preview each and write downs notes needed to make the next day's lesson more smooth prior to teaching the lesson. Being able to have this wire rack and rolling storage cart will allow me to have more time for work on writing daily behaviors notes for certain students I have in my classroom. Also during our collaboration days, I can quickly take out the right teacher manual or professional development book for my 3rd grade teammates to glance over and look for ways we can pre-teach a lesson that we find confusing.
