My Students

Our school is a low-income, K-8 school. I believe that all students are able to learn. Within our 2nd grade, students have a wide variety of abilities. Within this school year, there are 24 students in my second-grade class. Our school is a great learning environment where students prosper. Our academic community is continuously growing and focuses on achieving higher expectations.

In today's society, hands-on experiences and opportunities have become such a driving force in academics all while remaining socially distanced and maintaining social-emotional learning/well-being.

In my experience, when students have felt that they are in an environment that is safe and encouraging they have a tendency to strive for academic greatness.

My Project

Winter is officially here and that means colder temperatures arrived.

Please help me provide my students with winter essentials such as hats and gloves to keep them warm and healthy!

A hat and pair of gloves help students on those cold winter mornings. Each student will receive a pair of gloves and a hat to ensure they are keeping warm during bus stops, recess, and while transitioning from our outside trailers into the school building. A hat should be considered a winter wardrobe essential. Research shows that half of our body warmth is lost through our heads. Gloves will help to trap warmth inside and stop the students hands from getting exposed to the wind and cold.

Also, with Covid numbers increasing, out school is running low on student masks. My students are wearing masks that are not fitting properly which is causing them to be more exposed to illness. Students would get masks a washable mask and have disposable masks available throughout the day.

Please help keep my students comfortable, warm and safe!
