My Students
1st and 2nd graders are energetic, enthusiastic, and super social. They are so enjoyable to be around. They love being involved in the learning process and want to succeed. Our goal as a classroom is that we enter the classroom each day ready to try new things and to be brave to make mistakes. Mistakes lead to learning. As a teacher in an impoverished urban area, we struggle to have access to resources needed to provide a quality 21st century. My goal is to provide in equitable education for each student in our classroom.
I teach eager and enthusiastic students who need these resources to reach their full potential.
As the school year continues to be virtual, I will need more resources to support learning at home.
My Project
With the current pandemic, we continue to learn virtually. As a classroom teacher, I want to provide extra resources that can support online instruction and practice at home. Each item has purpose and intention to support learning.
The big push for this project is to get watercolors into the hands of our learners for art.
Also, the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will be used to purchase more digital resources to support small group instruction, reading activities, and science and social studies units. The hope is that some of the items donated will stay in the classroom to replace the materials that were used in a previous project to support virtually learning.
