This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach in an elementary school that is part of a large school district. My students are enthusiastic learners. Each student has a diverse background with diverse needs in the areas of academics, communication, and social skills. Due to their diverse needs my students are eligible for special education services and are provided services in their areas of unique needs. My students are very excited to learn new concepts along with developing their abilities in their specific areas of need. Many of my students missed out on hands-on learning as well as structured learning times due to the pandemic. Due to these missed opportunities my students are still trying to catch up on skills they have missed during the pandemic.
There is a buzz about having a variety of paper resources available for students with diverse needs, the greater the experience of learning becomes.
In our classroom. my students are provided with many opportunities to discuss what they are learning in small groups, large groups, cooperative learning groups with peers. The more resources available for students with diverse needs, the greater the experience of learning becomes.
These paper supplies will enhance my students' learning by giving my diverse learners with diverse ability levels access to creating art at their individual developmental levels and develop their fine motor skills that directly correlates to our preschool state standards and our monthly themes.
