Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love using community tables over desks in kindergarten. This allows the students to learn to collaborate, communicate, and share their materials. As a result, they don't have the space that most desks have to hold their books and materials. I use seat sacks to store their materials. I have used the seat sacks for many years. They are starting to get stretched out, worn, and torn. Some of the seat sacks are so stretched that the children's materials fall out. Several of them have become unusable. I am requesting a new set of seat sacks to update and organize our room.

I also am requesting a couple books from our favorite authors.

My students LOVE Mo Willems and Ryan T Higgins. We would love to have the books "There is a Bird on Your Head" and "Penelope Rex the Problem With Pets".

Lastly, I am requesting mood rings as prize incentives for positive behavior. The children LOVE these.
