This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my room may be in a Title I school but they come ready to learn every day despite their circumstances. We tell our students that there is no limit to what they can accomplish.

My students are just beginning and they understand that learning is a life-long journey.

This class is full of diverse individuals who work together as a team. We try, we explore, we play, we grow, we solve problems, we discuss our world, numbers, letters, nature, words, and books.

My Project

We are already using STEAM methods in our classroom, but our materials need refreshing! We need variety in our Lego materials to build proper structures, more options with our iPad to continue to learn our basics and we can write amazingly detailed stories from the photos we will take.

Capturing a photo of a child's work makes them proud, want to work harder, and learn more.

Students will practice recognizing letters and their shapes, create characters and buildings from the stories we read and take a photo to then create their own story. Our students will be gaining a new passion for their learning.
