This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In Band or Guitar, or Percussion classes, regular maintenance keeps the program going. As students find their way on their instruments, learning is easier without barriers. Having working reeds for Saxophones and Clarinets, or strings for guitars, or even having the right percussion equipment for the marching band is a piece of mind for students and teachers alike. Learning and performing without barriers make performance goals achievable.

Our goals in performing or creating music are to make music-making reachable and a successful experience.

With working equipment, students have a better chance at succeeding as best as they can. Face it, young students are hard on the equipment, but as they progress, they mature in knowledge and learning, refining their technique.

My students are in an urban setting. I would like to give them every possible chance to succeed in learning the process and learning to appreciate music, and the ability to be a lifelong learner in music.
