This school is a middle city school with many different economic and cultural backgrounds. My students are asked to provide supplies which might be financially hard for them to get. Our school is a Title I school, and every donation goes a long way. Our students are driven to always do their best, but they struggle. They need financial and emotional support from their community to help them meet their true potential.
My Project
Well this one is straight forward. As a teacher I want to motivate... scratch that... I need to motivate. Every day it's the same lecture, "come to tutorials if you want to do homework, if you want the answers to the test (no I don't give them), if you want a snack... " anything to get them to come in. Sometimes I need to bribe them, sometimes I dont. But they ALWAYS take the snack and ask for another.
I am asking for snacks, containers, tickets to give during class and candy to seal the deal (sometimes thats the thing that works).
Please help me fill my bins and get ready for my kids this year. They deserve so much... help please!
