My Project

Organization is the key to efficient, effective classroom management. This is not an inherited trait, as organizational skills must be taught and modeled, especially in first grade!

Helping students organize their materials and teaching them to take care of their things is a practice that will help students be successful for the rest of their lives.

This project will provide each of my students their own personal binder to organize important papers and reference materials that they will use throughout the year. The heavy-duty binders will give students a consistent, protective place to store and locate their materials. This is where we will store our math mats, phonics reference posters, personal data information, and more. The page dividers will help students quickly and easily store their paperwork and find what they are looking for. The zippered pockets will hold things like sight word and addition fact flash cards so they stay together for when students need to use them.

I am excited to give all my students the same materials from the start and provide them with equal chances at success in first grade! With your help, we can build organizational skills that will follow my students through their entire lives. Thank you for your support!
