Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have 24 amazing students that are excited to come to school. Each child brings their own uniqueness to our class and they love when we have community building time each morning at the start of our day. These last couple of months I have learned so much about my students not only academically but aboout their home lives as well. We are a Title 1 school, where all students are on free lunch.

These jackets will make an impactful difference as we currently have no heat in our classroom, and often being a title one school these kids don't always have access to proper clothing when the weather changes.

Having rain jackets will not only keep students warm, but dry from the rain this season.

Through Donors Choose, myself and my Buy Nothing Community I have backfilled necessities for these students from time to time. I am hoping to make an impactful difference this winter and be sure that all childre are provided the warmth that they need. If students are warm in the classroom, I am sure they will be more focused on their academics.
