Our 1,100 students are wonderful young adults who can't wait to grow up and explore the world. They come from different backgrounds and live in a smallish town.
Our students' learning has been greatly impacted by COVID since we operated in a hybrid system for the majority of the last school year.
This year, we're back to a more "regular" schedule and the students enjoy getting to see their friends every day.
My Project
Laminating handouts and classroom materials helps us keep students safe because it allows us to disinfect materials between students. Last year, we used our laminator much more than during a regular year because of this.
This heavy use lead to our old laminator (purchased in 2007) breaking last spring.
We are now looking to replace the laminator and enable us to laminate more materials again.
We're currently also looking to laminate posters for our annual Veterans' Day Celebration. Laminating the student-created posters allows us to display them in front of our school regardless of the weather. This project addresses the following social studies standard: SS.6-8.EUSH.8
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
