This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Classrooms are vibrant environments where students gather to learn, socialize, and grow together. However, with the close proximity of young individuals, the potential for the spread of germs and illnesses increases significantly. This is where essential supplies such as tissues, hand sanitizer, and Lysol wipes come into play. Having these items readily available not only promotes hygiene but also fosters a healthier learning environment for everyone.

Tissues are crucial in classrooms, especially during cold and flu season when students may frequently experience runny noses or allergies.

Encouraging students to use tissues helps prevent the spread of respiratory droplets that can transmit viruses. It also teaches children the importance of personal hygiene and caring for themselves and others, reinforcing a culture of health awareness from a young age. When tissues are within reach, students can address their needs promptly, minimizing distractions and keeping the focus on learning.

Hand sanitizer serves as a convenient solution for promoting cleanliness, especially when soap and water are not immediately accessible. Regular use of hand sanitizer can significantly reduce the number of germs that students carry throughout the day, particularly after activities like recess or shared classroom materials. This simple act can contribute to fewer absences due to illness, allowing for more consistent educational engagement.

Finally, Lysol wipes play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment. Surfaces such as desks, door handles, and shared equipment are often breeding grounds for germs. Regularly disinfecting these areas helps to eliminate harmful bacteria and viruses, reducing the likelihood of outbreaks. By fostering a routine of cleanliness through the use of wipes, teachers can create an atmosphere that prioritizes health, ensuring that students feel safe and comfortable while they learn. I wipe down every desk each day to keep students healthy and thriving!
