Help me give my students beanbags, cushions, and a cozy canopy to provide a calming sensory space to go to when they are feeling frustrated and overwhelmed.

My Students
I am proud to be a PreK teacher, my class is full of lively, imaginative, and energetic preschoolers. Our students live in a small, rural community in Hawai'i.
Our Keiki explore and learn through play, and develop the cognitive and social skills and confidence they will need to succeed in Kindergarten.
My Project
Dealing with challenging student behaviors is a familiar challenge for many teachers, especially with SPED preschoolers. Because each of my PreK students struggles with receptive and/or expressive communication, they experience frustration, anger and are easily upset. My preschoolers are in constant need of a space they can retreat to that is quiet, relaxing, and calming.
Our ideal calming corner would be decorated in cool, neutral tones and furnished with plush cushions and comfortable chairs that help promote mindfulness, breathing, and reflection.
The calming corner would be specifically designated as space for students to go when their emotions are beyond their control.
