Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
All different ethnicities make up our school and we are proud to be a strong community school.One hundred percent of our students in our school receive free breakfast and lunch. We have a mix of English Language Learners throughout the school.
The students take pride in their school and the teachers and staff who work there.
Our school does its best to support our students. We are a well crafted school that wants to ensure that students are receiving a well rounded education, as well as building relationships and everlasting characteristics that will shape who they are and prepare them for their future. These students need some tender love and care, and we are proud to provide that support.
My Project
In a previous project, I requested a Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Since then the students have enjoyed using it in the classroom. It has a wide range of uses throughout the day. The students use it for break time to play an education game. They also use the Surface for their intervention programs. One thing I really like about using the surface is that I can connect it to the Smart Board in the classroom. And now what we are doing at the back table can be displayed up on the board for all to see. Students can also sit at their seat and manipulate a problem in math or reading.
Our Surface definitely has some wear and tear and these materials requested will help the students get a "fresh and new" vibe for our surface.
The students will continue to learn through the surface with an easy to navigate mouse and a new keyboard to help them type. Students are now working on research projects and being able to use our Surface to have the students type up their final drafts would be fantastic.
