Keeping Our Students Engaged

My students need a document camera, a wireless station for iPad, appletv, stylus, and headphones.

My Students

My students attend a low income, Title 1 School in California. They are in the second grade and they will be with me for third grade too. My classroom consists of students with varying needs. Several of them are visual learners and need various visual aids to help them succeed.

My students love to learn new skills and strategies.

The enjoy learning skills using new technology. Many of them will benefit from viewing what's being taught while using a document camera. I have a wonderful group of hardworking students this year that would greatly benefit from such a device in the classroom. The document camera will be a great addition to my lessons because I will be able to present grade level curriculum in a way that will keep my students engaged.

My Project

The document camera, Apple TV, and wireless station will allow me to present lessons in a more engaging way. Students will be able to be apart of the lesson. The apple TV device will allow me to walk around the room and show student work while using an I pad. I will be able to use the stylus to draw or outline key information presented on the document camera. Students will have an opportunity to show their work to others as they too will have the chance to utilize the iPad.

My students and I need the document camera, apple tv, and stylus so that they will be able to follow along in a lesson as I model it on the document camera.

It will also allow the students to view what I am doing as they are doing it themselves. This will aid in their success as a learning scholar.
