This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are bright, well-behaved, inquisitive young people. They are very energetic and are always eager to learn new things and new ways to get to the correct conclusion. My students are good listeners, which allows them to discuss the topic in a very rigorous platform for their age group.

Also, my students work well together and really like helping each other out whether it’s “pair-share” or small groups during Universal Access Time.

I have a great group of kids that come to school every day, ready to put their best foot forward.

My Project

Each day, my kinder students have a small group rotation time. I would love to make one of the centers for tablets. These digital resources will be used for PBS "World Cultures Collection". This collection focuses on the foods, folktales, art, dance, food, and languages of cultural heritages around the world. My students will hear stories, play through various situations, and learn how to make crafts from cultures near and far. The tablets will provide opportunities for the students to be engaged and excited about money and learn how to spend and save their money.

The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of financial literacy and provide them with the skills they need to develop a strong foundation for lifelong financial competence.

My students will use tablets during small group and independent time to access educational websites and build on their health and wellness. The technology will help my English Language Learners gain vocabulary while they enjoy stories and songs. My goal is to not only help my students feel proud, accepted, and valued for who they are, but to also be empathetic, respectful, and accepting of others.
