My Music classroom is a challenge and fun place to be. Our school has been very lucky to count with several well prepared and passionate music teachers leaving the classroom full of trophies won throughout the years!
My students are clever, passionate, and creative in many ways!
There is no other huge reward as a teacher to see the happy face of a kid when they play an instrument for the first time. Our school is getting every year more students that are coming from low income families. Even though our PTA is awesome, it is very difficult to maintain a program with 500 students and have instruments in good conditions for everyone and in every year. This is including a class of 35 Autistic kids. Some of these instruments are very expensive and difficult to replace with the budget cut in the schools.
During the summer, the guitars are getting either wet or exposed to high humidity in the classroom; every year we have less guitars in good conditions to be played by the students; therefore, we need acoustic guitar soft cases to avoid more damages or destructions of the guitars and get rid of the wet boxes in which they get mold and it is very dangerous for the students.
We are afraid of loosing the instruments when is very expensive and difficult to get them for an elementary school.
The materials will help to keep these expensive instruments in a saved place and continue using them.
