This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class is full of wonderful, kind and caring students who come from all walks of life. Even though I have students who have a difficult time bringing the basic supplies to school, they come to school ready and eager to learn. I look forward to greeting each student every morning as they enter my classroom door. The smiles and "good mornings" that I receive in return make my day.
Our students enter the doors of our colorful school knowing that the staff is prepared to help them reach their potential of being college and career ready.
My Project
With winter not far off my students will definitely want and need to stay warm and healthy. Having some nice warm socks will be perfect for recess. My students need to stay warm during the winter to remain healthy. Even though it gets cold out, my students need a few minutes to run around outside and breathe some of that cool fresh air. The socks will keep their feet nice and toasty.
We are in a portable classroom outside of the main building and when my students need to go to the restroom, they need to go into the main building.
In order to get there, they will need to go out into the cold. Being able to provide them with socks will help them keep their feet warm.
It's important for my students to stay warm so they can stay healthy and well enough to attend school.
