This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school in East Los Angeles, California where about 95% percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our students come from low economic backgrounds. The majority of our students are Spanish-speaking students who are eager to learn.

My students walk into my classroom every day ready to learn and excited to begin our wonderful day.

They are such hardworking students. They are very kind to each other and love to help one another.

My Project

Having a steady supply of basic classroom cleaning supplies on hand during the school year will help my students and I keep our classroom clean and sanitized. That way we can focus our attention on reading, writing, listening and speaking in a healthy and pleasant environment.

The students I teach come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, and some students' households cannot afford to contribute optional supplies for the classroom.

With this project and your generous support, I hope to provide all of my 3rd grade students with basic cleaning supplies we can share in order to have a safe, healthy school year.
